It is not Christmas in the Paul house without Nat King Cole singing the Christmas song. The song has been a tradition in my family since I was a kid. Traditions help build strong and excellent reputations and your reputation is everything! Enjoy!
It is so easy to get caught up with shopping and the the glitz of the holiday season and forget about the true reason for the season! This video of Aretha Franklin singing O Holy Night (my favorite Christmas song) should remind us all Christmas was the birth of Jesus Christ, who died for all our sins. No matter your faith, please listen to this beautiful Christmas song! God bless you all.
2008 has been a rough year for many and especially the last few months. I have many friends out of work on Wall Street and on main street. When these friends call for advice on how to handle the current crises in their lives I remind them that we are called to give thanks for not only the good things in our lives, but also for the crises in our lives. Some become humbled and want to know more and some look at me like I am crazy!
Its sad, so sad
Its a sad, sad situation
And its getting more and more absurd
Its sad, so sad
Why can’t we talk it over
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word
Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Wordby Elton John, Lyrics by Bernie Taupin
Why do we struggle so much to say the word sorry? So simple a word, but so difficult to say. Not just to utter the word itself, because many times we do so, but we many times say it with anger, with sarcasm and with little meaning. The sorry I am talking about includes the raw emotions of forgiveness and truth. The action I am talking about includes the true definition of an apology.
